Food, Medicine and Health Care Administration and Control
The Food, Medicine, and Health Care Administration and Control Proclamation No. 121/2012 serves as the legal foundation for ensuring the safety, quality, and regulation of food, medicines, and health care services in the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia.
This Proclamation establishes a Regulatory Framework to:
Safeguard public health by ensuring the quality and safety of food and medicines.
Monitor and regulate health institutions and professionals to uphold ethical standards.
Combat the production and distribution of illicit drugs and harmful substances.
Strengthen and streamline regulatory systems for better efficiency and effectiveness.
