Objectives

The objectives of the Agency are to protect the health of consumers by ensuring:

·       Safety, efficacy, quality and proper use of medicines including complimentary and traditional medicines; 

·       Food consumed are safe, quality, with acceptable sanitation and free of contaminants;

·       Effective and efficient quality assurance, market authorization, inspection and licensing system;

·       Competency and ethics of health professionals;

·       Standard of health institutions; and

·       Environmental health.
