The Food, Medicine, and Health Care Administration and Control Proclamation No. 121/2012 serves as the legal foundation for ensuring the safety, quality, and regulation of food, medicines, and health care services in the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia.
This proclamation establishes a regulatory framework to:
Safeguard public health by ensuring the quality and safety of food and medicines.
Monitor and regulate health institutions and professionals to uphold ethical standards.
Combat the production and distribution of illicit drugs and harmful substances.
Strengthen and streamline regulatory systems for better efficiency and effectiveness.
As a governing body, we are committed to enforcing these regulations to protect the well-being of our communities and promote a safe and healthy environment.

Set standards for food safety and quality; safety, efficacy, quality and proper use of medicines; competence and practice of health professionals; hygiene and environmental health; competence of health and health related institutions and ensure their implementation and observance
Mission
To promote and protect the public health by ensuring safety and quality of products and health service through registration, licensing and inspection of health professionals, pharmaceuticals food establishments and health institutions and provision of up-to-date regulatory information while promoting rational medicine use
Vision
To ensure high quality health and health related services to all Somali region citizens
Objectives
Safety, efficacy, quality and proper use of medicines including complimentary and traditional medicines;
