Effective planning and responsible budgeting are the backbone of institutional performance and public trust. As the Director of Planning and Budgeting, I am honored to lead our efforts in aligning resources with priorities, and transforming strategic visions into measurable outcomes.
Our Directorate is committed to building a transparent, data-driven, and results-oriented planning culture. We are strengthening our systems to ensure that every birr allocated reflects our mission to protect public health, improve service delivery, and modernize regulatory oversight.
We are actively integrating program-based budgeting approaches that link financial inputs to tangible results. This allows us to monitor impact, enhance accountability, and ensure that our plans are not just ambitious—but achievable. Our budgeting process is now more inclusive, involving technical teams, regional offices, and community voices to reflect real needs and opportunities.
We are also investing in digital tools and performance dashboards to improve planning accuracy, track execution, and support timely decision-making. These innovations are helping us meet national standards and contribute meaningfully to Ethiopia’s Ten-Year Development Plan.
